Thy Rod and Thy Staff

In Psalm 23:1,4 (KJV) it says “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.”

 

In today’s message, Rev Kodwo Orleans-Lindsay will teach us about the “Thy Rod and Thy Staff.” He explains how the “Rod and Staff” is a tool used by a shepherd to lead the sheep. Rev will teach us how Jesus Christ mandates the innkeeper or pastor to take care of the sheep, gleaning from Luke 10:30-35. 

Rev Lindsay will explain to us about five ways that “His Rod and His Staff” is about leadership and about the Lord giving you someone who can take care of you living with the innkeeper. Rev Lindsay demonstrates how to live with the innkeeper and how to get the best out of your pastor’s ministry and their role, how to get the best out of the church, and how to get the best out of God’s shepherding spirit and anointing. 

 

God expects us to follow the leading of our pastor. Jesus Christ mandates pastors and gives them whatever is needed to take care of the sheep.
